KI – Liebe Fotografinnen und Fotografen, KI-Bild-Generierung ist der Hammer. Eine ganz eigenständige Bildsprache mit der wir z.B. noch emotionalere Bilder „generiert“ erstellen können, völlig unabhängig von unmotivierten Personen, schlechtem Wetter, Equipment-Problemen, Set-Suche, evtl. noch Labor-Fummelei, weite Wege, warten auf das richtige Licht etc. – oder natürlich Bilder, die fotografisch nicht bzw. nur durch Montage erstellt werden können.
Aber es ist eben nur eine neue Bildsprache – wir haben die Analoge-Fotografie, Digitale-Fotografie und jetzt zusätzlich die Generierte-Fotografie. Alle Arten haben ihre Berechtigung. Es kommt eher darauf an, was gewollt bzw. bei Aufträgen demjenigen auch Wert ist.
Fotografen mit Herzblut und Enthusiasmus, immer auf der Suche nach dem Optimum, werden auch weiterhin Bestand haben – Grafiker und Gestalter sind nun mal keine Fotografen, haben nicht die Erfahrung und vor allem nicht den Blick für die richtige Inszenierung.
Auf den KI-Generierungs-Servern liegen tausende Bilder zur Ansicht und bei 90 % fragt man sich: Wozu diese Bilder, erinnert mich teilweise an stolz präsentierte selbstgebastelte Hochzeitskarten etc., abgesehen von teilweise „verstümmelten“ Fingern, Gliedmaßen oder Proportionen. Ist ja OK, aber keine Konkurrenz.
Ich frage mich oft, warum Bild-Portale teilweise solche Bilder als tolle Beispiele präsentieren.
Papst in Winterjacke – ja toll, aber wer braucht das Bild. Eben nur, dass es möglich ist. Fake lässt grüßen.
Also macht euch keinen Kopp. KI ist faszinierend und bietet viele Möglichkeiten, wird aber die Fotografie nicht ersetzen sondern nur ergänzen.
Für mich persönlich ist KI-Generierte Fotografie eine sensationelle Möglichkeit neben meiner kreativen, gestalterischen Tätigkeiten auch weiterhin fotografisch zu arbeiten – nur jetzt eben in der warmen Stube. Weiteiterhin natürlich auf der Suche nach Personen, Firmen, Institution oder egal, die Bilder/Bild-Ideen suchen bzw. erstellt haben möchten, um meine Stube zu finanzieren.

A completely independent visual language with which we can, for example, create even more emotional images "generated", completely independent of unmotivated people, bad weather, equipment problems, set searches, possibly fiddling around in the lab, long distances, waiting for the right light, etc. - or of course images that cannot be created photographically or can only be created through montage.
But it is just a new visual language - we have analog photography, digital photography and now also generated photography. All types have their place. It depends more on what is wanted or what is worth to the person in the case of orders.
Photographers with passion and enthusiasm, always looking for the optimum, will continue to exist - graphic artists and designers are simply not photographers, do not have the experience and, above all, do not have the eye for the right staging.
There are thousands of images available to view on the AI generation servers and at 90% you ask yourself: what are these images for? Some of them remind me of proudly presented homemade wedding cards etc., apart from the partially "mutilated" fingers, limbs or proportions. That's OK, but not competition.

So don't worry. AI is fascinating and offers many possibilities, but it will not replace photography, only complement it.
For me personally, AI-generated photography is a sensational opportunity to continue working with photography alongside my creative design work – only now in the comfort of my own home. Of course, I'm still looking for people, companies, institutions or anyone else who are looking for images/image ideas or would like to have them created to finance my studio.
